According to the Rappler TIMELINE, Koko had COVID-19 symptons since March 14, 2020. In short, he had no business accompanying his wife to Makati Medical Center on the evening (6-7 pm) of March 24, 2020.

Koko's claim about getting a call from the Research Institute for Tropical Medicine (RITM) at around 9 pm on March 24, 2020 to inform him that he is COVID-19 positive is beside the point. It only adds insult to injury. It goes to show that the perverted sense of entitlement of politicians like Koko knows no bounds. Fuck you Koko! You, your wife and your unborn child deserve to die for what you did.

And the plot thickens . . .

It appears Koko's wife was also COVID-19 positive. Apparently, the couple knew it and they lied about it--because they were afraid they would not be admitted by Makati Med. Apparently, they even asked Duque to pressure Makati Med to admit them into the hospital. Let's see how the facts play out over the next several days.

but in the same vein our department of Health is asking our nurses to VOLUNTEER to take care of the COVID patients with NO remuneration but reassured that they will be fed!!!???? They want our nurses to volunteer to DIE and they invoke their sense of duty and service because of the oath they took  while our politicians sit in their air conditioned homes with abundant food, with their negative COVID tests feeling like they have done a wonderful deed!!!

The man who said the above quote, a man who cannot even construct a coherent sentence in a prerecorded national address in a time of crisis, asked for emergency powers to address the COVID-19 threat facing the country today, as it scourges the rest of the entire planet.

Without presenting even a vague trace of a concrete plan, that man was given emergency powers by the seperate and coequal branch of the legislature yesterday.

Let that sink in.

A friend's father, a highly-esteemed senior doctor at the Philippine Heart Center, passed away at dawn today in the line of duty. The country now has over 500 confirmed cases, and mass testing remains, at best, a pipe dream.

Yesterday, a pedicab driver was photographed holding two twenty peso bills, which he claims is his last remaining money. He was asking for help so that he could feed his family.

Our lawmakers, born and raised as members of the elite, alumni of the top universities of the country and the world, gave emergency powers to a man who said,

"Sampalin ko ang veerus na 'yan."

He did not even have the better sense to take this threat seriously. He made jokes. He played the soundbite card. He pandered to his idiotic support base.

He refused early intel to respond as our neighboring countries did. He thanked Xi Jinping and his lapdog before thanking people doing triple duty in our hospitals. He delegated response to local government, and as soon as he was outshined by on-the-ground brilliance, whipped the LGUs back in line like a petulant child.

That man is now in charge.

Expect more deaths in the days and weeks to come. This isn't a game, unfortunately, but the legislature made it clear yesterday that their political survival is more valuable than ours.

This is a war, and casualties are to be expected.

But when our soldiers--doctors, nurses, emergency responders--are led to their slaughter over the ensconced elite's self-serving support for an incoherent demagogue, in the most disgusting display of political theater I have seen,

I cannot stand by and watch.

Typical of Philippine politicians to avail of VIP treatment when others are in urgent need of testing.

The Department of Health’s triage system is a guide to determine which people can avail a scarce resource—a testing kit—that will be spent by medical facilities.

The system only considers a person “under investigation” if he has symptoms associated with COVID-19.

In spite of the foregoing, these uber-entitled politicians insist on their customary VIP treatment in a life and death situation--public disservice at its best!

China is avoiding blame by trolling the world.

How does Dutae manage to get such unbelievably high satisfactory ratings in spite of bungling nearly all aspects of governance? Exactly the same way that China is avoiding the blame for the corona virus; that is, by comprehensively trolling the entire social media landscape of the Philippines at the behest of taxpayers.

See the runaway intelligence budget of the Digong administration--an all-time record high in the entire history of the Philippines of P8.28 billion in 2020, which Digong is free to spend any way he wants with virtually no accountability whatsoever to taxpayers.

We live in times where the truth has become relative. With Dutae purveyors like Panelo, Cayetano and Bong Go, spin after convoluted spin, changing the conversation, shifting the blame and fake news abound. Education, critical thinking and honest to goodness discernment (NOT exactly the strong suit of a "confidently ignorant" society) of every individual is so desperately needed more than ever.

CRITICALLY THINKING CITIZENS, NOT MINDLESS SHEEP

To all those who say "let's just follow the government" or "don't politicise a crisis" and "puro kang criticism and kuda", let me SAY THIS TO YOU my friend: We got here BECAUSE of INCOMPETENCE, and that incompetence got here because you blindly SUPPORTED it.

Call this whatever you want, but the Philippines is set to become the FIRST in the WORLD to impose large-scale restriction of movement within its CAPITAL FIRST. NO OTHER ASEAN country -- majority poor developing countries like us -- is locking down any major city, especially their capital. And Italy had lockdown in northern Italy and Milan first, giving time to the capital and rest of the country to prepare.

So why the PHILIPPINES is first? Goodness, we don't even have enough kits -- two months into the crisis -- to know what is the situation. So either we are in a crisis a government is not telling us or this is a foolish overreaction. Reminders, you chose and continue to blindly support someone who struggles to give even a single coherent paragraph in a televised address on a national emergency.

Have you noticed, the past few years, puro CRISIS AFTER CRISIS? It was NOT under the PREVIOUS ADMIN that ISIS laid siege on Marawi; that Chinese militia forces almost DROWNED 22 of our fishermen; that we became the ONLY COUNTRY IN ASEAN to post NEGATIVE NET FOREIGN DIRECT INVESTMENT (FDI) INFLOW; to see MILLIONS OF FARMERS DRIVEN to greater POVERTY; to see GREATEST CRISIS in our relations with our ONLY ALLY; to see thousands of unexplained EJKS....and now impending LOCKDOWN (or whatever you call) of MANILA, the only case in entire ASEAN.

Preventative measures should have been taken months ago, NOT NOW! So, PITY the COUNTRY not only your lodi. THINK OF THE COUNTRY not your own president and party. And now, we will ALL SUFFER because of you! Yes, because of you! So please lang, before blaming us the CRITICAL thinking citizens, let me remind you:

Almost TWO MONTHS ago, I and many experts publicly warned over and over again and called for PRECAUTIONARY measures: To MINIMIZE RISK -- because it was never fully eliminating risk, but minimising it like Singapore, Hong Kong, Mongolia and elsewhere -- we should impose STRICT TRAVEL RESTRICTIONS, especially from LOCKDOWN areas in China.

BUT NO! You said we are just paranoid and racist, fools! FYI, we had NO mass produced KITS. NO PREPARATION. They even cut the DOH budget in recent years. And no nothing, and yet your beloved leader ALLOWED THOUSANDS of people from most affected areas still come in day after day after day. WHY? POGOS? "Love" for the regime in Beijing? Why, tell me why? Until recently, there were still flights incoming from China. This is NOT RACISM. I hate racism, which is anathema to people of mixed background like me. I love the Chinese People, their ordinary good folks. And I even love more my own people.

Now you want to shut down any criticism again, even if the LOCKDOWN is a lockdown that is not a lockdown and a curfew that is not a curfew that is...a TOTAL MESS!

They just triggered exodus of THOUSANDS of people in Manila to poorest and least prepared areas by giving more than a day of window into implementing what -- they can't even pinpoint what it is! IF you prefer INCOMPETENCE, wag mo kame idamay. And please lang, off my page if you don't want facts and sober analysis! I recently watched the TV series entitled "Homeland" in Netflix and there was a particular episode that opened my eyes to the power of social media. They're called "sock puppets" in Homeland. We know them as "trolls"--thousands of them paid to do nothing but manipulate public perception with fake news and misinformation, which the political machinery of Marcos and Dutae have so successfully exploited well before Dutae gate-crashed into Malacañang.
